Welcome to Money Headquarters
It's Anthony McDonald and I would like to provide you with some insight to my learnings over these last 20 years of operating in the Finance Broking world.

Debt is a vital factor in contributing to and taking away from individual and family wealth. It is a complex area and it is important to seek help in getting it right.

I have been helping people to get it right for more than two decades.

I established Money Headquarters in 2013 to focus on the demand from my existing network of clients. Since then Money HQ has continued to build a strong reputation based on my expertise and outstanding service.

Asked what drives the business,  “I’ve always focused on strategy. This means  gaining a good understanding of your  objectives and then devising strategies to achieve the best results. Often you have to look outside the box and this is where I feel I can make a difference. The product solution picks itself when all factors are considered. I have observed that many finance advisers begin with the product solution. It is a transactional approach and often ignores some crucial aspect which is very important to you, the customer. I feel my approach is the right approach because my clients keep coming back to me and they keep referring their family, their friends, and their trusted colleagues. And when they do, I can’t help but give my best to help them in any way I can”.

By following my  13 virtues of a successful lending practice. I strive for

1.Reliability. I and Money HQ will strive to be the “North Star” for every client interaction. With every question presenting as a threat, our clients need to know we have their back.

2.Consistency. Everyone deserves our very best effort, every time.

3.Communication. Debt is usually sought to buy an asset which often carries an emotional attachment. I will strive to keep people informed at all times and be open to communication from them whenever they need.

4.Relationship. We must understand our clients in order to be able to help them and we must give of ourselves to allow them to know to trust us.

5.Appreciation. Every approach is a gift which provides our business the opportunity to grow and prosper. We must never take that for granted..

6.Development. No business can survive if it stands still. We must adapt to change by ensuring our knowledge and our capability are constantly improving.

7.Fairness. In our pursuit to provide the best outcome for our clients we must be fair to all parties. If we are not fair to all, then our service is not sustainable and we ultimately do our clients a disservice.

8.Selflessness. A business has a profit motive but this must be subservient to the needs of our client. At all times we will act in their interests.

9.Community. We must recognise our place in our communities and recognise other members of those communities. We must give  back for the common good wherever possible.

10.Respect. Everyone deserves our respect. We want the best for our clients but must allow others to do their jobs without hindrance. The respect we give out will eventually be returned to us.

11.Professionalism. We are a part of a broader profession and must be leaders in upholding the standards expected of us as well as to contribute to its growth and reputation.

12.Mentorship. We have knowledge and experience from our industry and from life. Where it is sought, give it freely and with positive intent.

13.Collaboration. We are not all knowing. Our clients will have questions we cannot answer and we must build and maintain a “brains trust” to guide them on matters we cannot.

The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting." - Sun Tzu

In business, the ultimate goal is to achieve success and outmanoeuvre competitors by employing strategic tactics that minimize direct conflict. It is crucial to focus on understanding your market, customers, and competitors to gain an advantage without engaging in unnecessary battles.

  • "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." - Sun Tzu

In the business world, comprehensive knowledge of your competitors and self-awareness regarding your strengths and weaknesses are essential. Understanding your market, target audience, and competition will allow you to make informed decisions, seize opportunities, and confidently navigate challenges.

  • "Opportunities multiply as they are seized." - Sun Tzu

In the realm of business, seizing opportunities is crucial for growth and success. By recognizing and acting upon favourable situations promptly, you increase your chances of achieving positive outcomes and gaining a competitive edge. Proactive decision-making and a willingness to embrace opportunities are key to thriving in the business environment.

  • "In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity." - Sun Tzu

During times of uncertainty and turbulence, there is often room for innovation and advancement. Adapting to changing circumstances and finding creative solutions can help businesses thrive, even in challenging situations. By embracing chaos and seeing it as an opportunity, you can turn adversity into advantage.

  • "The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy's not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him." - Sun Tzu

In the business world, preparedness is vital. Instead of hoping for a lack of competition or challenges, focus on building a strong foundation and being ready to face whatever comes your way. This means being adaptable, having contingency plans, and continuously improving your business processes to stay ahead of the game.

  • "To win 100 battles is not the height of skill; to subdue the enemy without fighting is." - Sun Tzu

Business success is not solely measured by the number of direct confrontations won or deals closed. Instead, it lies in the ability to achieve goals efficiently and effectively, often by leveraging strategic partnerships, negotiation, and innovation. Mastering the art of collaboration and finding win-win solutions can lead to long-term success.

  • "All warfare is based on deception." - Sun Tzu

In business, competition is fierce, and it is crucial to maintain a competitive edge. Employing tactics such as market positioning, branding, and effective communication can help create a perception of superiority, attract customers, and differentiate your business from competitors. However, it is important to maintain ethical practices and ensure transparency with stakeholders.

  • "To know your Enemy, you must become your Enemy." - Sun Tzu

Understanding your competition is vital in the business world. Analyse their strategies, strengths, weaknesses, and market position. By gaining deep insights into your competitors, you can identify areas where you can excel, differentiate yourself, and develop strategies that position your business for success.

  • "The wise warrior avoids the battle." - Sun Tzu

In business, it is prudent to avoid unnecessary conflicts or battles that yield little benefit. Focus on finding opportunities, optimizing resources, and employing strategic thinking to achieve your objectives without engaging in wasteful confrontations. A wise businessperson knows when to step back, assess the situation, and choose the battles that truly matter.

  • "Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win." - Sun Tzu

In business, meticulous planning, market research, and strategic decision-making are vital for success. By thoroughly assessing opportunities, risks, and potential outcomes, you increase your chances of achieving victory before even entering the competitive arena. Being proactive, prepared, and confident in your strategy sets the stage for a successful business endeavour.
